Elgar Chorale sings for the Mayor’s Charity Christmas Concert

The Mayor’s Charity Christmas Concert

 Friday December 9th 2016

We entertained over 100 guests at the Guildhall in Worcester last Friday night. Singers and audience alike all thoroughly enjoyed this taste of Christmas. Traditional carols with audience participation and ‘Choir only’ items were interspersed with wonderful comical anecdotes and seasonal poetry deftly produced by Gabrielle, Tim and Sir Roy, our Patron.

During the evening the raffle – hampers and Christmas goods – raised nearly £300 shared between the choir and the Mayor’s Charities.  This year the Mayor is supporting the Midlands Air Ambulance and the YHA.

Thank you to Malcolm, our Conductor for the evening, who arranged the musical  programme and to Tim, Gabrielle and Sir Roy who selected their dramas so skillfully, leaving us chuckling in our seats.
